About Our Counselors

Our counselors wear many hats across the course of a program - they are not simply chaperones or supervisors for our students. They also act as mentor figures and teachers, leading our "mobile classroom" environment by delivering content in the classroom, on the road, at historic monuments, or wherever a program itinerary takes them!

All our counselors come from either Ivy League schools or top-ranking schools of similar prestige. As top students, they also fill an advisory role for Chinese students, dispensing invaluable tips for applying to and succeeding in top American schools. All counselors have a working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese but are also aided by Chinese-speaking partners provided by host clientele. Prior to participating in a program, counselors go through a multi-day training to ensure comprehension of teaching content, Chinese culture, safety protocols, and more.
