Your First Step into American CultureCurious about America but don't know where to start? This Summer, Boston Roundtable will be launching our first run of our first American Language and Cultural Immersion Summer Program, based out of Boston University. The American Language and Cultural Immersion (ALCI) curriculum gives students a chance to improve their language skills while studying in the culturally rich American northeast!
ALCI is a two-week program of intensive American culture immersion focused on the themes of Culture, Communication and Innovation featuring a relaxed and effective academic and social language experience. Our English language curriculum is taught through a combination of classroom instruction and real-life practice in a rich variety of educational activities, media, and exciting site visits. Students will learn about innovation in American education, business, politics, wellness, art, social diversity, the environment, and popular culture while increasing your English language proficiency in reading, writing and speaking. Midway through the program, students will go on an excursion to New York city, as well as to West Point and Princeton University to understand the ins and outs of America's city and university systems. Boston Roundtable provides ESL lessons that dovetail with the itinerary and help students practice the vocabulary needed to make the most of their site visits! This will be Boston Roundtable's second program of the summer to bring together students from across the world for a chance to learn together and further Boston Roundtable's mission of promoting education on an international scale! |
