College Advisors

Type of Employment: Per-diem
Availability: Year-round
Open To: Independent advisors, graduates of ivy and comparable schools, as well as top-ranking college programs
Payment Type: Hourly wage

Boston Roundtable employs two kinds of advisors:
  • Contracted Independent Advisors: Professionals who advise students for a living, typically with a higher level of advisory experience.
  • Junior Advisors: Recent graduates of top target schools for our students who lend practical advice in the application process. Junior advisors may also be from specialized programs specific to our students' interests (i.e. Arts, Humanities, STEM).
Our college advisors work one-on-one with international students applying to US colleges. The process can begin as late as junior year and start as early as sixth grade! Students take full advantage of having a mentor figure who has gone through the application process firsthand and can lend their experience. For current independent advisors, working with Boston Roundtable can provide an exciting opportunity to work with the burgeoning international student demographic.

An advisor's overall responsibilities can range from personal statement editing, to extracurricular planning, to interview preparation.
