Teach Courses to Youth in China |
Here at Boston Roundtable, we are proud to announce internship opportunities for teachers and graduates who are looking to teach abroad in China!
There are many opportunities for foreign teachers at schools of all levels in China, ranging from elementary schools to universities. Chinese schools are also seeking foreign teachers across a vast variety of subjects - not just English. Participants of our program will receive all necessary training, a monthly stipend, and will have access to our vast support network to assist them in their adjustment to working and living in a different country. Fluency in Mandarin is not required prior to you beginning your internship experience. Visit our FAQ page for quick questions and answers! |
Application Process Overview
Step 1: Materials and First Interview
Applicants fill out their information online. Our United States office reviews all materials and offers interviews to ideal applicants. Interviews may be done by video chat, however New England-based applicants are encouraged to interview in person at our Massachusetts office. Step 2: Second Interview and Acceptance Decision Materials for qualified applicants are sent to our Chinese clientele who will conduct a second video interview to see if the applicant is a good fit for their school system. Acceptance decisions will be mailed within a week of the second interview, at which point accepted applicants must sign and return our terms and conditions. Step 3: Orientation and Relocation Accepted applicants will be given a multi-day orientation at our United States office. We will go over what to expect on their journey, including the culture and climate of the assigned city, Chinese teaching laws, educational etiquette in a Chinese school, and more. Our United States office will help accepted teachers with every step of the application process, including the visa application process and travel planning. Other services, such as Mandarin crash-courses and teaching practice opportunities, are available upon request. Upon arrival in China, teachers will be given airport pickup by their host school and shown accommodations. Boston Roundtable and its clientele will provide regular check-in opportunities with teachers to make sure they are adjusting well and address any immediate concerns. Step 4: Debrief At the end of the program, teachers will be given surveys on their time abroad. Teachers are encouraged to provide full feedback on their experience so that Boston Roundtable can continue to improve our program for future teachers. |
